OUR BACKGROUND

Team 9848 was founded by a group of dedicated high school students who wanted to start a robotics program at the school in 2015. Together they made an FTC team named the "Mechanical Pioneers". 
 

In 2022, the Clearview High School students made a switch to how the robotics club was organized. With 5 teams and many students interested in joining, there needed to be a change to how the teams were set up. 9848 became "The Mentor Team". Taking students from the 9848 team and the 12441 team, they kept the number and brought 12441's name "GearView." 
 

2024 was our first year on the Worlds stage, and with 15 dedicated members, we made it once more in the 2025 season, Into the Deep. We plan on continuing this streak coming into the 2026 season, FIRST AGE.
