November 27, 2022 Competition

The first competition of the season was November 27, 2022. The day got off to a bit of a rough start but ended up being a fantastic kickoff to the FTC season! All of the students, coaches, and chaperones were ready to board the bus to Farmingdale, NJ at 6:00 am. Unfortunately, one of the two buses was not there! They split the teams and chaperones up, with the first group boarding that was available and the second group waiting for a second bus to arrive. Everyone got to the competition on time, but not without a lot of phone calls and worrying.

Despite the awkward start to the day, things settled down quickly once we got to match play! They competed in six matches and were part of the winning alliance in five of the matches! Gearview was recognized along with RoboTech Anomaly (17036) as the alliance with the highest point total score in a match! We scored 193 points! Gearview's sister teams did really well too!

It ended up being awesome! Gearview can't wait for the next competition!

The team celebrated their wins and the Highest Match Score by an Alliance award!
